My name is Derin, and I love to roam. As a child, my parents instilled in me an insatiable wanderlust. My memories are absolutely glorious; filled with suitcases and suntan lotion and cameras and tired feet and so many smiles.

My first trip to Disney World was in 1988. Since then, I have been there over 30 times, Disneyland 15 times, and Tokyo Disneyland 3 times. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at the Walt Disney Resort, in Florida. Disney is the fabric of our family. Our children have gone every year of their lives. We have become experts on how to navigate the parks and resorts. We have also gone as just a couple, and I have even done multiple solo trips.

I know Disney. I know how to speak the language. I know how to get the most out of just a day at the parks, or a two-week excursion. I have been to the resorts during the busiest times of the year (I’m looking at you, Thanksgiving week), and the slowest times. I know how to make sure your kids are happy, healthy, and best of all… not cranky.

And did I mention the food? Disney is a foodie paradise, and I should know. I am a huge foodie. I sometimes go just to eat my way around the world.

​

But it is not just Disney. I have explored Sea World (on both coasts), the Universal Parks (on both coasts), Legoland, Busch Gardens, Hollywood, and even Gatorland. I have gone on 9 cruises, both with Disney, and the other major cruise lines. And I have extensively traveled across America (spending time in 47 States), Japan, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, and the Philippines.

In each destination, a valuable lesson has been taught to me – the only thing that matters in this life are the memories you make, the lives you touch, and the people that you are with.

Travel drives me. It inspires me. It fulfills me. It unites me with our world. When you travel, you create moments that change the very fabric of who you are, and I want to share that with you. I know how to react when your dream vacation goes haywire, and you don’t know what to do. I know how to squeeze the most out of a trip or lay back and just soak up some rays.
