Howdy Friends! I’m Melissa from Texas. I’m a mom of 3 (+2 fur babies), wife of a high school coach, and lover of adventure. I had the great privilege of growing up in the 80s and 90s in the absolute best Disney era. My free time consisted of Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Pocahontas on repeat. To my great relief, I married a man who loves Goofy and the Muppets just slightly less than he loves me. When our children were small, we decided to focus on memories and experiences rather than things. Travel and vacations play a large role in our family culture. We enjoy the mountains and the beach, hiking, fishing, and kayaking (just don’t ask me to sleep in a tent!). We’ve made several cruises to the Caribbean on multiple cruise lines and have another planned this Christmas. And of course, we LOVE DISNEY!
You may be asking “why Disney?” Once upon a time, I was asking that same question. Let me tell you friend, Disney truly is magical. I was so skeptical….it just seemed overwhelming. So I dug into the planning (yay for being Type A) and learned everything I possibly could about the parks, the food, transportation, etc. We booked our first trip and never looked back. Since that trip, I’ve been back to Walt Disney World at least once a year! For me, it’s the opportunity to shed the responsibilities of the adult world and connect with my childhood, my imagination, my love for adventure and the people I love most.
After years of traveling and toying with the idea of joining the world of travel advising, I finally took the leap! I like spreadsheets, planning and making new friends so it’s a perfect fit.
