6 Reasons to Visit WDW This Summer

Many people try to avoid Walt Disney World during the summer, but there are some good reasons to plan a visit for Summer 2021.

#1 Lower crowds because of limited park capacity

There will be crowds and some waits in line, but they will definitely be less than in previous years. In fact, it's unlikely we'll ever see crowds this low ever again. Once we hit late September and the 50th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom's opening, all bets are off as crowds and capacity will increase significantly.

#2 More park days for less money

We still have availability for Walt Disney World's current promotion which gives guests that book a package with a minimum of 4 nights/3 park days an extra 2 park days free. This is an offer too good to refuse! A family of four can save up to $589 with this incredible offer. You can take advantage of this deal all the way through September 26, 2021. Some resort exclusions apply.

#3 Time to smell the roses. Or rather view the details. With the limited park capacity, meaning less people in the parks, and the more relaxed atmosphere, guests can spend some time noticing all the details and little quirks hidden around the parks that you may not have noticed before.

#4 New Character Experiences. Guests may not be able to interact with the characters as they have in the past, but Disney has come up with a fun, new way for everyone to see some of their favorites. Disney has introduced "little parades" or cavalcades in which characters will ride, dance and party through the parks. Each park offers different characters and these happen several times a day, so guests have ample opportunity to experience them.

#5 Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival

This year's festival is the longest ever, running through July 5th. With garden-fresh cuisines, creative gardens and unforgettable topiaries, this vibrant festival combines the freshest flowers and flavors from around the world.

#6 Epcot's Food and Wine Festival '21

Yes, the Food and Wine Festival returns July 15th for guests to enjoy even longer. Not only will guests have PLENTY of choices of great food, but they will also be able to sample all sorts of delicious cheeses served in fun ways as part of Emile’s Fromage Montage. Plus, have a little fun with Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt; enjoy live music; and be enticed to take home a souvenir from the new festival merchandise collection.
