The Lunar New Year festival located in Disney California Adventure park at the Disneyland Resort is a festival and celebration that commemorates the traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures.
This year, celebrating the Year of the Dragon, the festival takes place January 23rd to February 18th, 2024. This festival includes live entertainment, delicious food, and special characters.
Special entertainment includes “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Presentation” with a Chinese dragon puppet, brave warriors, bold drummers and elegant dancers with Mulan and her loyal sidekick, Mushu.
Other Lunar New Year traditions include the Lucky Wishing Wall where you can add your own wish, plus free kid-friendly crafts and activities!
Special appearances by popular Disney characters dressed in colorful event costumes include Mickey, Minnie, The Three Little Pigs, Tigger, Raya, Mulan, and Mushu.
Disneyland is known for fantastic food choices and this festival is no different. There are special Lunar New Year-inspired food and beverage offerings at six Asian marketplaces paying homage to Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cuisine.
