EPCOT is Blooming

The 2022 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is back and full of blooming fun for every park guest. Attending any of the Epcot festivals is a must for guests whose travel plans allow, and this year’s Flower and Garden Festival is once again one that demands some time spent to explore all the offering.

The first offerings of the festival that guests are bound to observe are the amazingly creative Disney character topiaries that are scattered around the park. The newest additions this year include the 50th anniversary Goofy that greets guests as they enter the front gate. It’s a must “stop and take a picture spot before you set off for the first attraction of the day.

Visit the back of Epcot and you will run into these little busy workers. Not to worry, the rest of the crew and the lovely Snow White are there as well. You will just have to plan a visit yourself to catch a glimpse of them.

There are 25 topiaries in all at this year’s festival, so a great activity for the whole family is to see who can grab pictures of all of them first.

After searching for all those incredible characters, its time to indulge in a few festival treats. Take a look at some of the yummies we discovered. From avocado toast, potato pancakes with applesauce, garlic roasted corn and finally the sweet festival signature ice cream treat, you won’t go wrong with any of the selections. Be forewarned...the food kiosks are in high demand so plan accordingly so that your hunger gets satisfied in a timely manner.

Take time also to enjoy the other treasures that make up this festival. The Butterfly Garden is a fun walk-through to not only get an up-close view at many beautiful winged creatures, but also to learn a little of what makes these guys tick.

Walking around the World Showcase will also give you a glimpse of some cute little gardens. You may even get some inspiration for a touch of garden magic you can create at home. From alpine gardens to bonsai to English Tea Gardens, there gardens of the world are certainly unique. Which garden would be your favorite?

There is so much more to discover as part of the Flower and Garden Festival , but you can not visit and enjoy all the festivities without touring the merchandise and picking out a treasure to take home as a memory of your trip. Orange Bird, Figment, and Mickey all grace some of the new offerings around the festival and one of them is sure to catch your eye.

So is a trip to enjoy the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival on your mind? There is still pleny of time to plan that trip this year as the festival runs through July 4th. Or, let’s get working on putting that plan into action for 2023.
