If you enjoy the Halloween season, a ghoulishly fun event is held every year at Disney's Magic Kingdom on select nights from August all the way to October 31st. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event that allows you to have a spooky fun Halloween and "it's really not so scary"!
This event does not require you to have a valid theme park ticket or a park pass reservation. You can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m. and the fun begins at 7 p.m.! However, if you have valid park admission for Magic Kingdom that day, feel free to spend the morning visiting your favorite attractions so that way you can make sure not to miss all the wickedly awesome entertainment during the party!
Make sure that your Boo Crew is dressed up for the event! Family friendly Halloween costumes are welcomed for all ages!
Check in includes getting your party wristband, your trick or treating bags (yes Mom and Dad, you get one too!), and your first Trick or Treat of the night! (more about those sweet stops below).
This party is host to a variety of special character meet and greets, dance parties, Halloween attraction overlays (such as live "pirates" in Pirates of the Caribbean) and entertainment.
Some highlights of the 2022 MNSSHP were the Cadaver Dans, the fan favorite Boo To You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular stage show with the infamous Sanderson Sisters, and the nighttime firework show, the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular!
Special characters that we ran into were the Country Bears, Pirate Goofy, Powerline Max, Elvis Stitch, and the head of ceremonies himself, Mickey! Jack Skellington and Sally are also meeting and greeting, so make sure to stop by and say hi to the Pumpkin King!
For this event, there are party exclusive snacks and treats that are to die for. My husband and I were both fans of last years' party exclusive Spellbinding Fried Pie and Almond Sweet Corn Cake. I'm looking forward to seeing what spooky treats are in store for 2023!
Speaking of treats, let's talk about one of the main draws of the Halloween Party: TRICK-OR-TREATING. Some attractions and shows close and turn into treat trails. All you need to do is bring along your treat bag and make sure to say those magic words: Trick or Treat! Cast members are generous with their candy, so you won't leave treatless.
Pro Tip: Make sure you ask Cast Members about the bats on their head. Some of them have some batty names!
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of the most hauntingly happy
events at Disney World. All ages will have fun celebrating during this spooky time of year. It's not too early to begin thinking about planning for your Halloween celebration at Walt Disney World! My family will be headed back to spend time with our favorite 999 happy haunts come October. Tickets usually go on sale in April or May, so reach out to me to help you plan your Not-So-Scary Halloween adventure.
