A new fireworks dessert party is coming soon to the Magic Kingdom. Beginning today, guests can book the 'After Fireworks Desert Party' which will be offered nightly beginning May 28. Guests booking this experiencing will have reserved Plaza Garden viewing for the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular and afterward will be escorted to Tomorrowland Terrace to indulge in all-you-care-to-enjoy sweet treats and savory snacks.
On the menu for this sweet experience are treats inspired by each of the lands of Magic Kingdom Park. Among the offerings are the S’mores Action Station (Frontierland), Pineapple Delights (Adventureland), Ooey Gooey Toffee Cakes (Liberty Square), Macarons (Fantasyland), a Cookie Table (Tomorrowland), and Strawberry Tarts (Main Street U.S.A.).
But there’s more than just desserts! Savory snacks include cheese cubes, spinach dip with crackers, and house-made mini eggrolls. Fresh fruit is also available along with refreshing beverages such as sparkling apple juice, coffee, tea, and milk.
In addition, on July 3-4, 2018, and select nights during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, guests can enjoy special themed holiday treats as well as the holiday fireworks.
Like the other fireworks dessert parties, I expect this will be a popular addition. From a scheduling perspective, the after fireworks desserts gives guests an opportunity to digest their dinner before trying to eat their money's worth of mini-cupcakes and cookies. On the other hand, attraction wait times after the fireworks are generally lower than any other time except the early morning hours. Also, I'm not sure how many parents will want to pump their young kids full of sugar at 9:30 PM, so I suspect this will be more popular with adults and families with older children.
