10 Things to Bring to Walt Disney World with a Baby

If you are going to Disney World with a baby or young child this list is for you! Here are 10 things that you might not think of when planning your family vacation to the most magical place on earth.

  • One-hand Folding Stroller That Reclines

  • A smooth, easy fold stroller that your baby can nap in is a MUST! People forget that you have to fold up your stroller when getting on those Disney buses. I find it best to bring your own or rent one through a third party like Scooter Bug. The Disney strollers are not comfortable and are hard to move around. You also can’t take them out of the parks. See our Stroller Rental page.

  • Stroller Fan

  • Bring one with the bendable arms so they can attached to anything.

  • Disposable Bibs

  • You can buy 60 of these off Amazon for super cheap. You don’t want to have to clean off a bib after eating before putting it back in your diaper bag.

  • New Travel Toys

  • Go to the Dollar Store and get a few small but new toys that you can have in the diaper bag and around your hotel room. My son loves ducks so I bought him a little pack of rubber ducks to place around our hotel room. And of course he loved them.

  • Baby Carrier

  • An absolute must when you want to go on rides with your baby. This way you don’t have to get your child in and out of the stroller between every ride. Super helpful in Fantasyland where the rides are family friendly and close together. Remember, you can’t bring strollers through the lines. I love this one with the Toy Story them.

  • Disney Onesies

  • Why not? Just a fun way to get in the Disney spirit with your little one. You can find a lot of options here or at your local Target.

  • Headphones

  • If you plan on staying for the fireworks, do your little one a favor and bring some baby headphones to help with the loud noises. Bonus tip: get them used to the headphones before you get there!

  • Toy Safety Straps

  • These are wonderful. They can attach almost anywhere and you can clip on toys, bottles, etc. They keep your child from throwing their toys on the ground and the silicone ones are great teethers too.

  • Backpack Diaper Bag

  • I highly recommend bringing a comfortable diaper bag that’s a backpack, not an over-the-shoulder cute bag. This will help your back and you will have two free hands. Also, bring one that your spouse or other family feels comfortable wearing as well. I particularly love this one.

  • Busy Baby Mat

    • This mat is wonderful! It suctions to the table and has straps on it that you can attach toys, cups, etc. It is super easy to clean and has an indention that is great for propping up your phone so your child can watch their favorite show while you enjoy a meal.

I hope this list helps you prepare for your next Walt Disney World vacation!
